Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 1, 2026

Infodra Technologies Private Limited ("Infodra", "we", "us", or "our") operates InfodraBooks (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the Service.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you sign up, we collect your name, email address, organization name, business type, GSTIN (if provided), and password (stored hashed).

Business Data

You upload or create business records — customers, vendors, items, invoices, expenses, inventory, and tax filings. This data belongs to you; we process it solely to provide the Service.

Usage Data

We automatically collect IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited, and timestamps for security, analytics, and product improvement.

Payment Information

Subscription payments are processed by third-party gateways (Stripe, Razorpay). We do not store full card details on our servers.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide, operate, and maintain the Service.
  • To process transactions and send invoices, receipts, and notifications.
  • To improve and personalize features.
  • To detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, or security incidents.
  • To comply with legal obligations under Indian law (Income Tax Act, GST Act, IT Act 2000).

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:

  • Service providers: hosting (cloud infrastructure), email delivery, payment processors, analytics — all bound by confidentiality.
  • Government authorities: when required by law (e.g., GST e-invoicing, court orders).
  • Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

4. Data Security

We implement industry-standard safeguards including TLS encryption in transit, encryption at rest, role-based access controls, and regular security reviews. No method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, but we work to protect your data with commercially reasonable measures.

5. Data Retention

We retain your business records for as long as your subscription is active and for 7 years thereafter to comply with Indian tax and audit requirements. You may request export or deletion of your data at any time, subject to legal retention obligations.

6. Your Rights

You may:

  • Access, correct, or update your personal information from your account settings.
  • Request a copy of your data in a machine-readable format.
  • Request deletion of your account (subject to retention rules above).
  • Withdraw consent for marketing communications at any time.

7. Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and analytics cookies to understand usage. You can disable cookies in your browser, but parts of the Service may not function correctly.

8. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. International Transfers

Your data is stored on servers located in India and may be processed by service providers in other jurisdictions. By using the Service, you consent to such transfers.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified by email or in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect.
